I usually refer to myself as having a pinhead and always require a small hat or helmet so I was surprised when I measured my head and just barely got 21" fitting within the size guidelines of this cap. I was still a little hesitant about the cap after reading reviews of people with small heads, but decided to try anyway especially with the free returns. I'm happy to say that the cap fit pretty well. Maybe a tiny big, but it's so soft, it easily smooths down and shapes to my head. I love the pony tail flap! And the ear covers are so soft and warm. Keeping this and it's just in time for the cold weather.
