I love this and I think it’s going to be my new favourite hat. The outer is a woven polyester wool mix, so is nice and soft, but you can feel the wool in the mix. It has a nice silky burgundy lining. The upper is stitched to the peak. My only problem with it is the sizing. My head was 61.5cm so too big for XL and too small for XXL. There is a thin tape to adjust the size of the band, but it’s impossible to tie this tight while it’s on my head so I have to tighten it too small, put it on so my head stretches it to the right size, take it off and then try to tie a knot without anything moving. Haven’t managed that yet, and it always ends up about a mm or two too loose. Other than that, lovely hat.

TOP-EX L/XL/XXL Wool Tweed Newsboy Cap for Men Baker Boy Hat Flat Peak Cap Warm Winter Hat Vintage Gatsby Ivy Golf Cabbie Hat Another of those flat caps that seems to have a hundred other names. The style of this one definitely has the Peaky Blinders vibe, so that's what we'll go with. I've not had much luck with flat caps. I love the style but they just don't seem to suit me. Undeterred I thought I'd give this one a go as it looked a bit different. I chose the size L in black based on the measurements and the fit seemed to be ok, but as I don't have much hair I needed to use the fitted drawstring inside the cap to make it a little tighter. The hat looks great. The outer is made from a good wool blend, alongside synthetics and has an almost felt feel to it. Inside is a soft quilted Polyester lining which has a shiny look to it and is coloured a dark shade of reddish purple to contrast the plain black outer. There is a nice overall padding to the hat that helps it to keep shape and adds a warmth when wearing it. The peak is a small and stiff and reminds me of a baseball hat peak. There's no denying the quality of this hat as it has that classic Peaky Blinders styling, looks great and is made really well with flawless stitching throughout. Unfortunately for me it just isn't a style that suits me so I'll give up with flat caps from now on. I've been defeated in the flat cap styling!

Follow the sizing guide and you'll be fine. This is a really well made cap. The wool is a very good quality and the quilted lining is a nice touch. Definitely adds to the warmth, and for those who aren't sporting a lot of hair, an extra bit of comfort. I'm cramming quite a bit of easily tangled hair up under it and the satin lining helps keep the tangles from getting out of control. I'm really happy with this one!

I have more than 2 dozen various flat caps. Some are nicer than this one from TOP-EX. Some aren't as nice. All of them cost as much if not more than the TOP-EX. That's my way of cutting to the chase and saying this a good newsboy cap at a good price, so if you're in the market, grab one. You won't be disappointed.
